Subway Closure Festhalle/Messe
Due to construction work in the tunnel area of the U4 and U5 subway lines, there will be temporary closures in 2026 between Bockenheim, Messe, Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) and the city center. During these periods, no subway services will operate to the Festhalle/Messe station.
As an alternative, Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main recommends using tram lines 16 and 17 to the Festhalle/Messe stop; on weekends, an additional line 10 will also operate.
